Follicular Unit Extraction
Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) involves removing healthy hair follicles from the donor area (usually the dense hair area behind the head) and inserting them one by one into the bald / patchy head area. This process is very delicate when hair is transplanted into the same slot that contains previous hair, thus achieving a better absorption of the grafted hair, angles and direction.
This hair transplant procedure produces more natural results without scars, without stitches, and with less pain. The healing time for FUE depends on the person's skin. In contrast to the "STRIP" hair transplant method, where whole pieces of hair are removed from the donor area and inserted elsewhere (needed area for hair), individual hairs are transplanted one by one in balding areas in FUE.
